Position Summary:
$25/hr, Part Time
Reporting to the Programs Director, the Out of School Programs Coordinator is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Oak Park Education Foundation’s out of school STEAM programs.
Job Responsibilities:
● Oversee implementation of after school enrichment classes and additional out of school programming, as assigned, at District 97 school(s)
● Act as a liaison between District 97 school PTO committees, school staff and Oak Park Education Foundation as it relates to out of school programming
● Act as the onsite administrator for Oak Park Education Foundation’s after school program and additional out of school programs, as needed
● Ensure safe and streamlined pick-up and drop-off procedures for out of school programs
● Manage the planning and execution of the Fall into STEM program
● Plan and execute the Friday career exploration summer program (3 weeks total)
● Substitute teach an after school class, as needed
Qualifications:
● Previous experience supervising out of school programming preferred
● Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively
● Experience working with children, grades K-8, in a school or community-based setting; teaching experience preferred
● Experience creating and implementing new programs or curriculum
● Experience collaborating with teachers and after school staff to deliver a planned curriculum
● Ability to organize and implement special school events
● Ability to pass D97 background check

Schedule:
D97 school year hours appx. 12-15 hrs per week each trimester including weekday schedule of 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm. Summer (June-July) hours dedicated to Fall STEM Fest planning, and management of Friday morning middle school career exploration program (3 weeks).
