Our Very First Fall Into STEM Event

On November 16th, over 200 area elementary students attended our first ever Fall into STEM event. Participants engaged with interactive exhibits, participated in workshops and learned so much about STEM.

Some of our exhibitors included:

  • Build a Blinkie: Students learned how to solder and took home their own cool creation
  • Concordia Nursing Program: Visitors interactied with amazing state-of-the-art CPR mannequins and received free stethoscopes
  • Sam’s Batting Cage: Kids learned about the physics of baseball and softball
  • UIC Biological Science-Zak Lab: Students were able to conduct simple experiments and learned about the neurobiology of our sensory systems
  • Chicago Area Robotics Group: Kids were able to check out some cool robots
  • Mobile Makers: Visitors were able to work on projects for future public architects, designers, and makers
  • Oak Park Education Foundation’s BASE Camp: Kids were able to sample some of our fun, educational and hands-on STEAM activities
