After School Enrichment Specialist Spheros Robotics
$35/hr, Part Time
Compensation:
$35/hr for up to 20 hours per school with the option to run the program at additional schools/sessions each trimester.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Programs Director, the After School Enrichment Specialist is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Oak Park Education Foundation’s Spheros Robotics program for after school/enrichment in an Oak Park School.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee planning and implementation of the Spheros Robotics curriculum at District 97 elementary school(s) as a supplement for after school/enrichment programs
Provide instruction and supervision to up to 20 students over an 8 to 10-session period for 1.5 hours of in-person instruction per session
Use provided curriculum and continue to develop supplemental resources to support this program
Qualifications:
Expertise in elementary-level coding, programming and technology, previous experience with Spheros preferred
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively
Experience working with children, ages 8-12, in a school or community-based setting; teaching experience preferred
Experience collaborating with teachers and after school staff to deliver a planned curriculum
Ability to pass D97 background check
